Lotusland's patterns are original designs by Aie Rossmann.
Aie is originally from Burma, and Southeast Asian influences can be
seen in many of her quilt designs and color schemes. She is an architect
who began designing quilts while taking a break from her professional career
to raise a family. Aie lives in Calgary, Canada, and teaches both needle-turn
and machine applique internationally at quilt shops and retreats. Aie
has appeared on HGTV's "Simply Quilts" and is in the process
of pubishing a book through the American Quilters Society (AQS).
Her quilts are regularly displayed at shows, contests, shops and galleries
in Canada and the United States.
